Midtown Bus Terminal project receives nearly $2B federal loan

The loan marks the first time the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has borrowed from the 25-year-old Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act program via the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Midtown Bus Terminal project cleared to advance

“We have in hand all the needed permits to move forward with replacing the agency’s long-outdated bus terminal and enduring eyesore in the middle of Manhattan with the world-class transportation gateway this region has long deserved,” said Port Authority Executive Director Rick Cotton, describing it as a “red-letter day.”
