The 1,100-megawatt joint venture between Ørsted and PSEG is expected provide clean energy to 500,000 homes while also delivering thousands of jobs and ramping up supply chain initiatives.

A two-count suit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia by the group Save Long Beach Island, a nonprofit that says proposals from the Biden and Murphy administrations haven’t thoroughly examined how to avoid harming the state's commercial fishing and tourism industries, or its marine ecosystems. 

“From creating jobs and strengthening the economy to investing in infrastructure and bringing gigawatts of renewable energy to our coast, offshore wind is critical to New Jersey’s future,” PSEG President and CEO Ralph Izzo said.
