UFC will once again returning to Prudential Center. The May 9 event brings another major card to Newark with UFC 328: Chimaev vs. Strickland.
A middleweight championship bout between reigning champion Khamzat Chimaev and former titleholder Sean Strickland headlines the event. Strickland enters the matchup ranked No. 3 — looking to reclaim the belt. The card will also feature a key heavyweight clash between Alexander Volkov and Waldo Cortes Acosta, along with a welterweight matchup between Sean Brady and Joaquin Buckley.
Newark has become a regular stop for UFC in recent years, with the promotion drawing strong crowds and economic activity to the city.
The main card begins at 9 p.m. ET on Paramount+. Late prelims start at 7 p.m. ET and early prelims begin at 5 p.m. ET on Paramount+ and UFC Fight Pass. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 20 at 12 p.m. ET via Ticketmaster.
