Verizon executive joins New Jersey Chamber board

The New Jersey Chamber of Commerce this month elected executive Eileen Mannion to its board.

The group provides guidance to Chamber staff on policy issues affecting New Jersey’s short- and long-term economic growth. In particular, it focuses on economic development, education and workforce development, environment and energy, healthcare, state budget and fiscal issues, and transportation.

Mannion is a graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law and Monmouth University. Currently vice president of -state & local , she has spent the past 22 years in government affairs at Verizon. Before joining that company, she served as deputy counsel to the New Jersey Assembly and as assistant counsel in the Governor’s Counsel’s Office.

She is also a longtime volunteer with Unite for Her, a nonprofit that connects women affected by breast and ovarian cancer with integrative therapies and wellness resources.
