VIO Med Spa is recognizing four franchisees from New Jersey for their efforts to build successful businesses in the growing aesthetics industry.

The all-inclusive spa brand honored Niraj and Bansari Shah with a Rookie of the Year Award during its recent annual franchisee conference in Nashville, Tenn. The husband-wife team owns and operates the Paramus VIO Med Spa.

The couple signed a development agreement in 2022 to open 16 locations in North Jersey. Last year, they opened their first spot at Bergen Town Center.

VIO Med Spa also gave a Rising Star Award to Michael and Bethany Smilovitch for their work launching a location in Holmdel. Additionally, the event highlighted three multiunit owners in Massachusetts, Ohio and Indiana.

‘Heart and soul’

VIO Med Spa CEO Ryan Rose described franchisees as “the heart and soul” of the company.

He went on to say, “This year’s conference theme, ‘Set the Stage,’ reflects not only the exceptional growth of VIO Med Spa this past year, but also sets the stage for even greater achievements in the year ahead. As we approach a milestone of 50 open locations, we’re honored to recognize the contributions of the VIO Med Spa network and share how we’ll continue to elevate the brand experience.”

Founded in 2017, VIO Med Spa offers customers cutting-edge technologies and therapies from the wellness and aesthetics industry. Service include facials, injectables and skincare.

The brand has 36 locations open across 13 states. An additional 30-plus sites are set to open by the end of 2024.

Besides Paramus and Holmdel, VIO Med Spa has a location in Shrewsbury, opened by Elio Vecchiarelli and Suzanne Moore.
