Wisniewski & Associates LLC in Sayreville launched a bankruptcy practice to guide clients through matters including those associated with Chapters 7 and 13, and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
Civil litigator Jennifer Kurtz will lead the practice. Kurtz, who has an extensive background in debtor-creditor issues, in an appellate advocate and is experienced in estate planning, real estate law, and employment and business law matters.
“The expansion is a logical extension of the firm’s experience in business law through its representation of small and mid-sized businesses, individuals and family law practice clients,” according to firm founder and former New Jersey Assemblyman John Wisniewski.
Prior to joining Wisniewski, Kurtz served as designated appellate counsel for the Office of the Public Defender, ran a solo bankruptcy law practice in South River and was a litigator with the international firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in Washington, D.C., where she handled white-collar defense, government investigations and construction matters.
She is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, the U.S. District Court in New Jersey, U.S. Bankruptcy Court in New Jersey and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
