YogaSix stretching its way across Monmouth County

Boutique yoga brand YogaSix is flexing its muscles in New Jersey.

After opening their first location in Shrewsbury two years ago, husband-wife franchisee team Steve and Dana Robinson are set to launch six more YogaSix spots in Monmouth County, starting with Ocean Township.

Located in Ocean Plaza (1100 Route 35), the studio offers a variety of classes targeting agility, strength, flexibility and balance for all fitness levels.

With its welcoming, modern and calming environment, YogaSix strives to eliminate the intimidation factor for newcomers by connecting them with a wellness advisor prior to their first yoga experience, as well as using contemporary language instead of Sanskrit to describe movements.

Founded in 2012, the Irvine, Calif.-based chain is backed by Xponential Fitness, a curator of leading boutique fitness concepts whose portfolio includes StretchLab, Pure Barre, Rumble Boxing and Row House, and is considered to be the largest franchised yoga brand worldwide with more than 170 studios open.

Besides Ocean Township and Shrewsbury, YogaSix’s other studios in New Jersey are located in Norwood, West New York, Chester, Livingston and Marlton.

Steve Robinson said the couple is excited to grow in Monmouth County because it will “add something unique to the area fitness scene and provide the locals with something they may not have tried before.”

He added, “It will give new members the opportunity to discover the benefits of yoga in an open and welcoming environment that only YogaSix can provide.”

YogaSix at Ocean Plaza is open Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Monthly memberships are available for four, eight or unlimited visits per month, as well as drop-in packages, and YogaSix clients can use both the Ocean Plaza and Shrewsbury Plaza studios.
