“It’s encouraging that we are growing a technology sector that represents several of the key areas driving the economy’s future, such as health care, energy, data security, software and more,” said Paul Krieger, Deloitte’s managing partner for New Jersey in a prepared statement. “We are developing a critical mass that can strengthen our community’s resiliency for uncertain times while also laying the foundation for long-term success.”

Last year, nine New Jersey companies made the list.

The Tri-State area made up 13% of the list, representing the second most common region this year. Silicon Valley was first at 20%. New England was third at 7%, and Greater Washington DC and Los Angeles tied for fourth at 6%.
