Purity Water is executing a franchise expansion across North and Central Jersey that produced several new retail leases.
JLL announced completing the deals on behalf of the fast-growing water concept June 15.
Founded in Rockaway in 2022, Purity Water seeks to make high-quality purified and alkaline water more accessible. To help its strategic expansion, the company has partnered with JLL Managing Director David Townes and Vice President Alana Friedman.
Purity Water kicked off its franchise program last year. The concept targets opportunities in high-traffic, grocery-anchored shopping centers.
Noted Townes, “Purity Water has created a concept that feels incredibly timely in today’s retail environment.”
Beyond water quality, the brand’s mission also involves reducing reliance on single-use plastic bottles. Those prongs – combining advanced water purification technology with a neighborhood retail model – align Purity Water with growing consumer demand for wellness-oriented offerings and environmentally conscious products.
In a statement, co-founder Christi Tominbang highlighted these visible locations as “critical to our success.” She described JLL as “an invaluable partner in helping us strategically grow the brand and establish a larger footprint throughout New Jersey.
“Successful franchise growth is all about selecting the right real estate in the right communities,” said Friedman. “These new franchise locations give Purity Water strong daily traffic, excellent co-tenancy and visibility within established shopping destinations.”
Friedman added, “The momentum behind the brand has been exciting to watch.”
“We are looking forward to continuing to build momentum in the market and excited to share our proven model with entrepreneurs who want to build businesses that are profitable, impactful and deeply aligned with the values of health and sustainability,” added Purity Water co-founder Peter Pena.
Purity Water sold its first franchise in the U.S. in March. According to the company’s website, the brand entails a minimum initial investment of $264,558, including a $30,000 franchise fee and training.
