Thirteen New Jersey companies made Newsweek’s America’s Most Trusted Companies 2022 list, released March 23.
Three of those companies received the No. 1 most trustworthy spot in their respective industries: John Wiley & Sons in media and entertainment, Campbell Soup Co. in food and beverage, and Barnes & Noble Education in retail.
Other honorees include Automatic Data Processing; Church & Dwight; Bed Bath & Beyond; American Water Works; B&G Foods; Becton, Dickinson and Co.; Merck & Co.; Burlington Stores Inc.; Vonage Holdings Corp.; and Children’s Place Inc.
Newsweek identified its Most Trusted Companies through an independent survey of 50,000 U.S. residents who rated businesses based on the three touchpoints of trust: consumer, investor and employee. A total of 110,000 evaluations were submitted, resulting in a list of the top 400 most trusted companies across 22 industries.
New Jersey companies were ranked within several industries, including consulting and professional services, consumer goods, energy and utilities, food and beverage, health care and life sciences, media and entertainment, retail, software and communications, and textiles.
“For generations, Campbell has earned trust by making food people love and by acting with character, integrity and transparency in everything we do,” said Campbell President and CEO Mark Clouse on the company’s recognition. “This recognition is a testament to the care that our more than 14,000 employees demonstrate to each other, our customers, consumers and communities.”
This is Newsweek’s first annual ranking of America’s Most Trusted Companies, done in partnership with Statista.
