Basking Ridge-headquartered Affinity Federal Credit Union announced June 4 the recipients of the inaugural Affinity Wellbeing Awards.

Affinity partnered with Gallup and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset on the program. According to the credit union, the awards aim to spotlight excellence in financial, community and physical wellbeing here in New Jersey.

The criteria prioritized impact, innovation, and a devoted commitment to enhancing the wellbeing of the community or individuals served.

Affinity noted a slew of impressive submissions. As a result, it decided to expand the honorees to individuals and organizations in the community as well as physical wellbeing categories.

The first recipients include:

• Community Wellbeing:
  Organization – Share My Meals
  Individual – DJ Wright (Wright & Ford Funeral Home)
  Honorable mentions: With Grace Initiative; Babs Siperstein Proud Centers; Mom to Mom
• Physical Wellbeing:
  Organization – Jazz4PCA
  Individual – Corrine Flammer (St. Clare’s Denville Hospital)
• Financial Wellbeing:
  Organization – New Jersey Citizen Action

Kevin Brauer, president and CEO, Affinity, said the honorees inspire others to improve their wellbeing and make a difference in the community.
