The Omaha, Nebraska-based company said in a news release that this acquisition expands Valmont’s network to 33 facilities located in six countries around the world.

AGC is a hip-dip galvanizing company that provides corrosion protection services to structural steel fabricators and manufacturers in the Northeast.

“I am excited for Valmont Coatings to better serve galvanizing customers in the northeast United States. American Galvanizing will continue to offer its customers the same great service they have enjoyed for so many years, supported by our coast-to-coast network of facilities in North America,” Rick Cornish, group president of Valmon’t Global Coating Segment, said in a prepared statement.

“Bringing together these companies provides exciting opportunities for our business and employees. The cultural match is very good. Customer focus is the basis of what both companies value. We look forward to being part of the Valmont team,” John Gregor, president, American Galvanizing, said in a prepared statement.
