Description: Founded in 1964, Atlantic Medical Imaging is a full-service radiology practice with nine locations in Atlantic, Cape May, Monmouth and Ocean counties. In 2003, the practice created The AMI Foundation to oversee its charitable contributions of both time and money. Over the last decade, the foundation has donated more than $800,000 to dozens of nonprofits in education, health and human services, and other areas.
Proudest Gift: Offering free mammograms to uninsured women every year during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and free screenings to individuals at high risk for lung cancer.
Philanthropic Focus: The practice emphasizes improving the health of people and communities.
Encouraging Philanthropy in the Workplace: All employees are encouraged to take part in community service projects. In addition, many of the practice’s leaders serve on boards and as volunteers for local and regional nonprofits, particularly in the areas of health and human services.
