As part of an ongoing global expansion effort, Benjamin Moore & Co. is launching two new independent subsidiaries in the United Kingdom.
In an April 30 press release, the Montvale-headquartered premium paint manufacturer introduced the formation of BM Prudhoe Ltd. in England and C&R Scotland Ltd. in Scotland.
Founded in 1883, Benjamin Moore’s multiple manufacturing sites across North America support distribution to more than 70 countries. Widely regarded as a top-tier brand for quality and performance, the company sells its range of 3,500 colors exclusively through more than 8,500 locally owned and operated retailers.
Since its 2000 acquisition by Berkshire Hathaway, Benjamin Moore has made a push into international markets.
The new units mark the company’s second subsidiary in England and first in Scotland, Benjamin Moore noted. The brand recently celebrated 10 years of service and distribution in the U.K.
Benjamin Moore Chairman and CEO Dan Calkins described the formation of BM Prudhoe and C&R Scotland as “two pivotal advancements in our strategic global expansion.”
