Bowman & Co. LLP partner Harry Wills III was named president of New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants for the 2021 and 2022 term.
Wills replaces immediate past president Alan Sobel, managing member of the firm at SobelCo LLC.
Wills joined the NJCPA in 1987 and is a past president of the Southwest Jersey Chapter.
According to a June 1 announcement of his new position, Wills plans to focus his presidency on initiatives to assist accounting students, young professionals looking to become CPAs and accountants advancing toward leadership positions.
“As the accounting profession incorporates new uses of data analytics and other technological advancements, it’s imperative that we focus our attention on growing the profession and assisting the leaders of tomorrow,” Wills said in a prepared statement.
