CareOne’s expanded facility opens in Wayne

, a skilled nursing and assisted living community, announced April 24 that its newly expanded facility in Wayne is now open. 

The expansion, which took three years to complete, includes 28 private medical suites, a new dining room, movie theater, additional lounges, library and more. 

To celebrate, CareOne at Wayne hosted a ribbon-cutting “Spring Fling” April 19 that featured bourbon and wine tastings with food pairings, facility tours, and appearances by CareOne CEO Daniel Straus, Wayne Township Mayor Christopher Vergano and Sen. Kristin Corrado, R-40th District.

Straus, said CareOne was “thrilled” to celebrate the upgraded Wayne facility. “It’s crucial that our communities know we are dedicated to investing in our patients and residents, both in our outstanding level of care, and in curating the most comfortable and vibrant community environment within the New Jersey footprint,” he said in a statement.

Additional improvements include a new memory care program for patients suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or related conditions.  

“Our staff continuously raises the bar on excellence in assisted living,” Straus added. “This expansion affords us the opportunity to provide that elevated standard of care within a boutique-style, luxury environment.” 

CareOne at Wayne received a high-performing, 5 out of 5 rating on U.S. News and World Report’s Best Nursing Homes list and was a silver recipient of the state’s Antibiotic Stewardship Recognition Program in the Post-Acute Care Facilities category in 2022.
