TD Bank has named a 22-year regional veteran as its commercial market president for South Jersey and Coastal New Jersey, the Cherry Hill-headquartered company announced Oct. 26.
Gregory Carlisle succeeds Robert Curley III, who is now regional president of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Metro.
Carlisle will be responsible for the local commercial and small business banking teams and customer portfolios in Monmouth, Ocean, Atlantic, Cape May, Gloucester, Salem, Cumberland, Camden and Burlington counties.
He will also partner with the bank’s specialty business lending and consumer teams and direct local TD sponsorship and community giving.
Carlisle joined TD in 2014 as regional vice president of Gloucester, Cumberland and Salem counties, where he led his team to increase market shares in each locale, according to the bank. His experience includes small business, commercial mortgage, commercial and industrial lending, and global trade finance.
“Greg is a trusted advisor to a large and diverse portfolio of local clients, and his extensive expertise and experience in commercial and small business banking will greatly enable TD’s continued growth in this key market,” Curley said in a statement, while also commending Carlisle’s “balance between empathy and business acumen.”
Before joining TD, Carlisle held leadership roles at companies including HSBC Bank, Washington Mutual/JP Morgan Chase, and Wachovia Bank (Wells Fargo). According to his LinkedIn profile, he earned a degree in secondary education and teaching from Temple University.
The bank also noted his community work, including volunteering with the Gloucester County YMCA and sitting on the board of the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce.
Earlier this month, TD also announced the appointment of Christopher Fred as head of U.S. credit cards and unsecured lending.
