After becoming the largest “Bring Your Own Cannabis” consumer convention in the Northeast last year, 420 Expo is set to return to New Jersey next month.
Billed as a celebration of the legal marijuana lifestyle, the event will run from Sept. 29 through Oct. 1 at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center in Edison and feature over 100 vendors, live entertainment, educational seminars and celebrity appearances.
Outdoors, there will be a large smoking section as well as a variety of food trucks, according to organizers.
Sponsored by Wakit Grinders, the event will be guest hosted by actor, cannabis activist and art collector Cheech Marin and is expected to draw an even bigger crowd than last year’s 17,000 attendees.
Dan Davis, one of the convention’s founders, commented, “Despite last year’s legalization of adult-use marijuana in New Jersey, there still isn’t enough tolerance. A primary goal of 420 Expo is to remove the stigma surrounding cannabis.”
He added, “It’s a bonus that we get to have a blast achieving that goal.”

J. Handy, co-founder of 420 Expo, stated, “We are honored to welcome the one-and-only cannabis legend Cheech Marin to our second annual 420 Expo, and we invite all adults 21 and older, from the curious to connoisseurs, to come out and shine a light on the growing cannabis community.”
“We were blown away by the sheer number of attendees last year, so we’re raising the bar even higher. This year, visitors can expect an even stronger lineup of live entertainment, seriously cool vendors, more celebrity guests, and a bunch more surprises,” Handy said.
420 Expo will include VIP meet & greets with Marin, as well as guest appearances by other cannabis-related celebrities, including:
There will also be more than 20 seminars and panels appealing to both casual and experienced cannabis enthusiasts, along with product demonstrations, gaming areas, contests, glass blowing and axe throwing.
While THC products will not be sold at 420 Expo, attendees may bring the legal limit for personal use under state law, according to organizers.
420 Expo will be open 5 to 11 p.m. on Sept. 29, noon to 9 p.m. Sept. 30 and noon to 6 p.m. Oct. 1. For more information or to purchase advance tickets to this 21-plus event, visit 420Expo.com.
