The Cooper Foundation received a $555,000 grant to support Cooper University Health Care‘s prenatal and early childhood health care efforts.
Roots & Wings, a Wisconsin-based family foundation, provided the funds. The contribution will support programs at Cooper’s Children’s Regional Hospital focused on health care, early learning, basic needs and safety for low-income children and families from prenatal care through age 3, the health system announced earlier this month.
CRHC is South Jersey’s only state-designated acute care children’s hospital, offering 27 pediatric subspecialties, according to Cooper.

In a statement, The Cooper Foundation chairman of the board Philip Norcross and Lisa Morina, senior vice president and chief philanthropy officer, thanked Roots & Wings for the grant.
“With help from community partners like the Roots & Wings Foundation, we can work towards a world where every mother and baby have the opportunity for a healthy start, regardless of socioeconomic barriers,” Norcross added.
In September 2024, The Cooper Foundation’s 14th Annual Red Hot Gala broke another record, raising nearly $4 million to support the growth of Cooper University Health Care, including its $3 billion Camden campus expansion.
