Dr. Brian Jankowitz recently joined Cooper University Health Care as a member of the Cooper Neurological Institute.
Before joining Cooper, Jankowitz was associate professor of neurological surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and served as faculty of the UPMC Neurosurgery Department and UPMC Stroke Institute where he specialized in both open and endovascular neurosurgery.

“I have worked closely with Dr. Jankowitz for many years and he is an outstanding addition to our team here at Cooper,” said Dr. Tudor Jovin, chief and chairman of the Cooper Neurological Institute.
“His extensive training, knowledge, and skills will benefit our patients with the most advanced care available. With the addition of Dr. Jankowitz to our team, the Cooper Neurological Institute is one of the few, truly multi-disciplinary cerebrovascular teams in the region consisting of specialists in neurology, neurosurgery, and neuroradiology,” said Jovin.
Jankowitz is board certified in neurological surgery and CAST (Committee on Advanced Subspeciality Training) in Neuroendovascular Surgery. He is the primary investigator for numerous clinical trials in the United States, which will available to patients at Cooper.
He is a member of the American Heart Association Stroke Council, the Society of Neurointerventional Surgery, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the Endovascular Neurosurgery Research Group among others.
