The Delta Dental of New Jersey Foundation will award more than $761,000 in grants this year to organizations around the state, supporting more than 14,000 New Jerseyans. 

The foundation, which is the philanthropic arm of Parsippany-headquartered Delta Dental of New Jersey, made the announcement Aug. 22 and said the funds will help provide dental care and education to thousands of uninsured and underinsured seniors, developmentally disabled adults and children, disadvantaged children and veterans.  

Additionally, the donations will help fund scholarships for dental hygienists in county colleges as well as help dental assistant students in high school and a local county college. 

The grant breakdowns and organizations receiving the grants are: 

• $100,000: KinderSmile Foundation, serving children in Bloomfield, Trenton and Newark via the Boys & Girls Club of Newark. 
• $100,000: Foundation for Morristown Medical Center 
• $65,000: Zufall Health Center, serving 300 veterans in Morris County. The organization also will receive $55,000 for a dental assistant training program in north, west and central New Jersey. 
• $50,000: Jersey Shore University Medical Center Foundation, serving Monmouth and Ocean counties. 
• $50,000: Matheny Medical and Educational Center, serving developmentally disabled children and adults throughout the state. 
• $341,000: To support seniors, veterans, children and individuals with disabilities throughout the state and locally in Middlesex, Union, Bergen, Passaic, Camden, Burlington, Mercer, Essex and Cape May counties.
