Yankees legend and Hall of Famer Derek Jeter is the newest brand ambassador for BetMGM.

The Jersey City-based sports betting and iGaming operator announced a multiyear partnership with the five-time World Series champion July 14.

“As BetMGM‘s brand continues to evolve, we could not think of a better baseball ambassador to add to our Mount Rushmore of legendary athletes than Derek Jeter,” said BetMGM Chief Marketing Officer Casey Hurbis.

“’The Captain’s’ universal appeal and proven track record of excellence, both on and off the field, will provide players with extraordinary experiences only available at BetMGM,” Hurbis added.

The announcement comes just ahead of the MLB All-Star Game. Jeter is set to appear in upcoming national marketing campaigns including the “Legendary Plays” spot, scheduled to premiere July 15.

“BetMGM’s commitment to excellence and overall approach help them stand out as an innovator in their space,” said Jeter in a press release.

  • There are currently no online casino games that feature a current or former professional baseball player
• Jeter will:
  • Be featured prominently across advertising campaigns and digital platforms
  • Make appearance at exclusive VIP events
  • Play a key role in promoting BetMGM’s responsible gaming initiatives in both the U.S. and Canada
• Jeter joins BetMGM’s roster of sports legends including Barry Sanders, Tim Howard and Wayne Gretzky, among others

Jeter noted BetMGM’s efforts to create a real community in its audience.
