According to Nation’s Restaurant News, Doherty Enterprises is the 78th-largest food-service revenue company in country. The company operates over 150 restaurants throughout New Jersey, New York, Florida, and Georgia. Restaurant Finance Monitor ranks it as the 11th-largest franchisee in the U.S.

Brands under the Doherty Enterprises umbrella include Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar, Panera Bread, Chevys Fresh Mex, Quaker Steak & Lube, Noodles & Company, The Shannon Rose Irish Pub and Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas.

Doherty joined the company in 2003 as real estate manager. Since then, he has had a hand in site selection, lease negotiations, acquisitions and procurement of construction approvals and permits while overseeing construction.
