Bojangles is celebrating the launch of its third outpost in New Jersey.
Located at 39 Route 9 in Marlboro Township, the popular chicken and biscuits chain began welcoming customers June 30.
Founded in 1977, the North Carolina-based brand is known for its Cajun-seasoned fried chicken, buttermilk biscuits, sandwiches, salads, sides and desserts.
Until recently, the chain’s footprint of 870-plus locations nationwide did not include New Jersey. A previous Bojangles outpost in Newark closed years ago, according to NJ.com.
As part of a newly launched East Coast expansion effort, Bojangles plans to open 35 locations across the state.
Through a 10-unit development deal with ADS Restaurant Group, Bojangles opened a Piscataway site in April 2025 and a Vineland unit in March 2026.
After Marlboro, the group expects to open a location in Neptune later this summer. The chain is taking a 2,895-square-foot space at Market Place at Neptune, leasing plans say.
ADS Restaurant Group Executive Sanjay Patel said, “We’re excited to introduce our Southern hospitality and famous flavors to this growing community.”
In Marlboro, Bojangles took over a building previously occupied by Burger King. It is open daily from 5:30 a.m. to midnight for drive-thru, order ahead and dine in. Bojangles also offers delivery via platforms such as DoorDash, Uber Eats, Postmates and Grub Hub.
