Cushman & Wakefield said Jan. 20 that it arranged the sale of Highland Cross in Rutherford on behalf of Lincoln Equities Group.
UBS Realty Investors acquired the 357,000-square-foot development site on Veterans Boulevard, according to Cushman & Wakefield. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“This is a site Lincoln had worked on since the 1990s. It is particularly gratifying to be a part of its ultimate sale, after jointly working on concepts for over two decades in order to realize its highest and best use,” said Gary Gabriel, who represented Lincoln Equities in the transaction along with Cushman & Wakefield’s David Bernhaut, Kyle Schmidt and Ryan Larkin.

Lincoln Equities announced last summer that Amazon will occupy Highland Cross upon its completion.
According to Cushman & Wakefield, the 26-acre site will be developed with 258 car parking spaces, 71 dock high doors, 82 trailer spaces and cross-docked loading.
In June, the global real estate services firm arranged a $115 million build-to-suit construction loan for the Class-A development on behalf of Lincoln Equities.
Cushman & Wakefield said Highland Cross will be just one of 19 modern properties in the Meadowlands industrial area to offer 36 feet or more of clear height. It is located at the intersection of the New Jersey Turnpike and Routes 3 and 17.
