GoNetspeed announced plans to bring its high-speed, 100% fiber-optic internet network to South River. The investment marks the company’s first service area in New Jersey.

The privately funded $13.6 million project will deliver symmetrical multigigabit speeds of up to 6 Gbps to more than 10,500 homes and businesses. The company expects construction to begin in summer 2026, with initial connections anticipated by fall.

GoNetspeed is one of the largest independent fiber providers in the Northeast. The growing company continues to expand its footprint with future-ready, high-speed service for residential and business customers.

“Reliable, is no longer a luxury, but an everyday necessity. Communities like South River deserve a network that’s designed for the realities of everyday life,” said President and CEO Richard Clark.

The South River rollout also serves as the launch point for GoNetspeed’s broader $110 million expansion across six New Jersey communities as it continues to grow across the region.

Company officials said the investment aims to provide reliable, next-generation connectivity to support residents, businesses and emerging technologies as demand for faster internet continues to rise.

Clark added, “We are eager to connect South River, equipping residents and businesses with the dependable connectivity that supports growth and innovation while delivering an improved quality of life well into the future.”
