Technology consulting firm Unicom Solutions Group was recently acquired by HBK IT LLC, a member of the HBK family of companies.

Mountainside-based Unicom serves small and midsize private companies, nonprofits and government agencies. According to HBK IT, the acquisition complements its own services pertaining to digital transformation, managed services, cybersecurity consulting and enterprise resource planning.

Financial terms of the deal, announced Nov. 1 by HBK, were not disclosed.

Unicom founder Roman Sawycky said the move would offer greater opportunities for both staff and customers, with expanded personal development and training for the former, and the availability of additional products and services for the latter.

“Bringing Unicom into the HBK family gives HBK IT even greater scale and technical expertise,” HBK Principal Tom Angelo, based in the Clark office, said in a prepared statement. “The merger will bring us a team of talented individuals as we continue to grow our advisory services and help our clients use technology to drive the growth of their business in an ever-changing digital world.”
