HelloFresh SE opened a new 127,055-square-foot distribution center in Totowa Monday to support EveryPlate, its value meal kit brand.
This is the company’s third distribution center in New Jersey across its HelloFresh, EveryPlate, and Green Chef banners, after locations in Newark and Swedesboro opened.
The Totowa facility brings 225 new jobs to the region in production, operations and management roles, with plans to expand production in the next year.
“New Jersey has proven to be a very effective production and distribution hub for HelloFresh across our three brands. We’re excited to be increasing our production capabilities in this region as we fuel the next phase of our growth,” saidCEO of HelloFresh U.S. Uwe Voss in a prepared statement. “The new Totowa facility accommodates the increasing demand for EveryPlate, allowing us to serve even more customers with fresh, affordable and convenient meal solutions.”
With the strategic expansion of operations just a stone’s throw away from its Newark distribution center, HelloFresh is “leveraging operational efficiencies and existing supplier relationships to quickly scale up production and better serve customers in the Northeast and Midwest,” the company announced.
From July 1 to Sept, 30, HelloFresh delivered 72.7 million meals to more than two million customers nationwide.
The new center is located at 8 Vreeland Avenue, Totowa.
