J&J Snack Foods Corp. is taking its retail footprint to new heights with Urban Air Adventure Parks.
In an Aug. 19 press release, the Mount Laurel-based snack maker announced a partnership that will make its Dippin’ Dots beaded ice cream brand the exclusive frozen treat provider at Urban Air’s more than 200 indoor parks across the U.S.
J&J Chief Marketing Officer Lynwood Mallard shared, “We are thrilled to partner with our friends at Urban Air. Dippin’ Dots and Urban Air are brands built around creating fun for the whole family. This partnership is a perfect match, and we’re excited to help make each visit even sweeter.”
Urban Air CMO Kyle Martin described Dippin’ Dots as “an iconic brand that our guests know and love.”
“It’s the perfect fit for the action-packed, memorable experience we deliver. It’s a fun, craveable treat that adds to the energy and excitement of every visit,” he said.
Founded in 1971, J&J is a considered a leader and innovator in the snack food and frozen beverage industry.
Its family of brands includes Super Pretzel soft pretzels, Luigi’s Real Italian Ice as well as Icee and Slush Puppie frozen beverages. J&J Snack Foods also owns Minute Maid frozen ices, Whole Fruit frozen fruit bars, Dogsters ice cream-style treats for dogs, Hola! churros and Thinsters cookies.
J&J added Dippin’ Dots to its portfolio in 2022 when it acquired the brand for $222 million from Fischer Enterprises Inc.
In addition to attractions like trampolines, ninja warrior courses, ropes and zipline-style rides, many Urban Air locations have extras, such as go-karts, laser tag, climbing walls and bumper cars. Urban Air also offers arcades, toddler play areas, snack cafes and parent lounges at most parks.
