Just Salad is aiming to make it even easier to grab healthy meals while on the go.
The fast-casual chain is unveiling a new drive-thru restaurant concept, starting off with an outpost in New Jersey.
Located at 277 Eisenhower Parkway in Livingston, the new spot celebrated its grand opening Jan. 13.
Additional drive-thru units will come online throughout 2025, but Just Salad didn’t share where those will launch.
Commenting on Livingston’s opening, company founder and CEO Nick Kenner said, “This new location reflects our belief that fast food can be redefined – it can be fresh, it can be sustainable, and it can still be convenient.”
“This format allows us to serve our guests with added convenience, representing a major step forward in making healthy, delicious food even more accessible. It’s an exciting moment for Just Salad as we continue to innovate and rapidly expand into new markets,” he said.
Founded in 2006, the New York City-based chain is known for its customizable salads, wraps, warm bowls, soups and smoothies, as well as classic offerings and rotating seasonal options. A Certified B Corporation, Just Salad also has a reusable bowl program that gives customers the option of buying a $1 reusable bowl and receiving a free salad topping with every use.
Just Salad’s footprint of 90-plus U.S. locations includes nine restaurants in New Jersey – Clifton, Sea Girt, Princeton, Hoboken, Jersey City, Paramus, Pompton Plains, Totowa and Morristown.
Just Salad in the Shoppes at Livingston Circle is open 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. In addition to drive-thru, takeout and pickup, the restaurant features a dining area.
To celebrate its grand opening, Just Salad will offer several promotions, including a $5 meal to every customer who orders in-store between Jan. 23-24 or via the drive-thru Jan. 25.
Just Salad will recognize local first responders, health care workers, transit workers, municipal workers, construction workers, school staff and teachers Jan. 28 with $5 meals.
Reusable-bowl customers who purchase meals Jan. 27 will also receive a $5 discount, according to the chain.
Additionally, the shop will donate $1 for every in-store purchase Jan. 22 to the New Jersey Audubon Society.
