Just Salad is tossing another Garden State store into its mix.

Located at 225 Allwood Road, Suite 4B in Clifton, the outpost marks the brand’s ninth in New Jersey. The new store joins locations in Sea Girt, Princeton, Hoboken, Jersey City, Paramus, Pompton Plains, Totowa and Morristown.

Founded in 2006, the New York City-based fast-casual chain is known for its customizable salads, wraps and warm bowls, as well as its seasonal options and “Earth Friendly” meals — featuring salads with low-carbon footprints.

The chain has more than 90 locations in the U.S.

Just Salad is also home to the world’s largest reusable bowl program. The initiative gives customers the option of buying a $1 reusable bowl and receiving a free salad topping with every use.

Ready to celebrate

To celebrate its grand opening in Clifton, Just Salad will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Dec. 4 with the North Jersey Chamber of Commerce.  Additionally, the location will donate $1 from every in-store purchase made during the day to City Green, an urban farm and garden organization. 

Following the celebration, Just Salad will continue to offer several promotions, including a $5 meal to every customer who orders in-store between Dec. 5-7.

Just Salad will recognize local first responders, health care workers, transit workers, municipal workers, construction workers, school staff and teachers on Dec. 10 with $5 meals.

Reusable-bowl customers who purchase meals in-store Dec. 9 will also receive a $5 discount, according to the chain. It will also offer $8.99 salads and warm bowls for reusable-bowl customers who visit the store on weekdays from 3-6 p.m. between Dec. 16 and Jan. 3, according to the brand.

Just Salad in Clifton is open Monday to Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends. In addition to takeout and pick-up options, the 2,2553-square-foot restaurant features a dining area with 36 seats.
