Wendy’s is celebrating a newly remodeled restaurant in North Jersey by giving away a year’s worth of food.
As part of the May 16 festivities at the fast-food chain’s Jefferson location, the first 100 guests lined up for the 10:30 a.m. opening will receive a card to redeem one free sandwich, salad or breakfast item per week for one year, according to franchisee Flynn Group LP.
The offer is valid only at the Jefferson site and cannot be combined with any other coupons, promotions or discounts. Winners must be 16 or older, Flynn noted.
Located at 728 Route 15 S., the outpost officially began serving guests April 15, the franchisee said.
According to Flynn, the 3,198-square-foot Wendy’s now features a fresh, modern layout that includes open, bright dining areas with multiple seating options, as well as a Coca-Cola Freestyle beverage dispenser that allows customers to customize drink choices.
A spokesperson said the restaurant closed to customers in the beginning of March for construction while the drive-thru remained open. The restaurant and drive-thru are now both open daily from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m.
Flynn Vice President of Marketing Jerrod Mitchell said they are thrilled to welcome guests back to Jefferson.
“With a fresh look and enhanced amenities, the restaurant is designed to create an even better experience for our guests. We’re proud to continue serving the community with the high-quality food and friendly service Wendy’s is known for,” he said.
According to Flynn, the renovated restaurant is projected to add 45 jobs to the local economy. Available positions include crew members, shift leaders, assistant managers and general managers.
Of the 147 Wendy’s locations across New Jersey, Flynn runs about five dozen sites.
The franchisee recently completed similar remodels at sites including Absecon, Thorofare, Egg Harbor Township, Somers Point and Manahawkin.
Founded in 1999, San Francisco-headquartered Flynn owns and operates 2,900 consumer-facing businesses. Its portfolio includes brands such as Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill + Bar, Arby’s, Taco Bell, Panera Bread, Pizza Hut, Wendy’s and Planet Fitness in the U.S. and Australia.
After Starbucks and Chipotle, Flynn is the world’s largest operator of restaurants. It generates $5 billion in sales and employs more than 75,000 workers.
