The recently enacted Next New Jersey Manufacturing Program is quickly ramping up.
NJBIZ recently reported on the bill signing of the $500 million program to incentivize manufacturing here in the Garden State. And at that event, Gov. Phil Murphy and Tim Sullivan, CEO of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority – which administers the program – stressed that the administration was planning to get the program rolling right away.
To that point, the NJEDA released draft rules of the program Aug. 15 and announced that it is seeking public input until 5 p.m. Aug. 22. The agency held a listening session Aug. 18 to provide an overview of the draft rules (watch the video below).
The rules will be presented to the NJEDA board for review and consideration for approval; if approved, the rules will be published in the New Jersey Register for formal public comment.
