NJBIZ is honoring more than 40 companies and organizations that are committed to supporting and elevating women employees.

Now in its second year, the Empowering Women – Companies Leading the Way awards program recognizes New Jersey-based organizations for their tangible and innovative efforts to advance women in the workplace and community.

To be eligible, companies must have 50% or more than 100 staff working in New Jersey. The honorees also were chosen based on their commitment to efforts such as:

• Having a track record of recruiting, hiring and promoting women.
• Offering a mentoring program for women.
• Working toward systemic change in society to combat inequality.
• Contributing to advancing the cause of women through outside philanthropic or community endeavors.

All the organizations will be honored Nov. 14 at a celebration at The DoubleTree by Hilton in Somerset as well as in a future edition of NJBIZ. Tickets to the gala are now available on the event page.
