NJ engineering firm acquired by Maine’s Ransom Consulting

Civalier Engineering & Surveying Inc. of Wenonah was acquired by Ransom Consulting LLC of Portland, Maine.

The acquisition marks Ransom’s second New Jersey location. The multi-disciplinary engineering and environmental company has an office in Hamilton, along with locations in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Civalier Engineering has operated for more than 30 years, serving clients throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

Ransom Vice President Scott Brown has been tapped to manage the Wenonah office.

“For over 30 years, Ransom has been a trusted engineering and environmental leader providing local and regional expertise for our clients across New England and New Jersey,” said Ransom Chief Executive Officer Steve Ransom. “With the acquisition of Civalier Engineering in Wenonah, New Jersey, we are now adding civil engineering and surveying services to our existing mix of environmental consulting services. We expect this to broaden our market to diversify our skill set to the already responsive and value-added solutions we provide to our clients.”

With the acquisition of Civalier, Ransom has 75 employees across six offices.
