The New Jersey Election Commission (ELEC) is out with its annual report.

In 2024, lobbyists in the Garden State spent $103 million on their efforts, up 4.1% from 2023.

Key takeaways from the report include:

  • Communication spending dropped to $3.3 million down 7%
  • Number of lobbyists rose from 892 to 908 up 1.8%
  • For the seventh straight year, the number of clients rose to a new high – 2,530 up 4.1%

    • Health care: $18.5 million up 18%
    • Business – miscellaneous: $11.8 million up 11%

    • Princeton Public Affairs Group Inc: $10.9 million
    • Public Strategies Impact LLC: $8.2 million
    • CLB Partners Inc: $6 million

Leading the way

This marked the 22nd year in a row that PPAG ranked as the top lobbying firm.

Gibbons PC, which reported $3.7 million in receipts, ranked as the top lawyer-lobbying firm (for the 17th year in a row), as well as the sixth overall in New Jersey.
