NJBIZ names 2020 General Counsel of the Year winners (updated)

Two colleagues from Panasonic Corp. of North America were among the five winners named at the 2020 NJBIZ General Counsel of the Year Awards.

During a ceremony held virtually on Aug. 11, Panasonic Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary Jessica Hodkinson was named as the top lawyer for a public company while Shaun Bean, assistant general counsel at the Newark-based company, was named InHouse Legal Star.

Awards were also handed out to lawyers in three other categories, with winners  chosen by a panel of judges from a group of 26 finalists.

Todd Brower, senior vice president/general counsel at St. Joseph’s Health Inc. in Paterson, was honored as the top general counsel for a health care organization.

Neal Dittersdorf, executive vice president, general counsel and secretary for Holmdel-based cloud recruiting platform iCIMS, took the top prize in the category of private companies with revenues up to $500 million. And for private companies with revenues of more than $500 million, Michael Lynch, vice president and general counsel at Brother International Inc. – a Bridgewater-based maker of printers, sewing machines and other products – was the winner.
