Abrash is chair and CEO of Deloitte & Touche LLP, based in Parsippany. In that role, she is responsible for overseeing the firm’s U.S. Audit & Assurance practice, including the execution of its quality, innovation, growth and talent strategies. Abrash has held roles in which she oversaw significant client responsibilities as a global lead client service partner for large multinational entities. She also is a member of the U.S. Executive Committee and U.S. Management Committee.
Previously within the U.S. Audit & Assurance practice, Abrash served as its deputy CEO, national managing partner of audit innovation and client service delivery, and chief operating officer. According to the firm, Abrash’s leadership philosophy is based on her understanding of multinational clients in various industries, her leadership roles and experiences, and her passion for advancing innovation and inclusion in the profession.
In an interview last fall, Abrash told NJBIZ about her commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, nurturing a corporate culture that sustains that work, and her role as a leader in the accounting profession.
“Personally, I think I have a responsibility to give back to the profession — I’ve been in this for north of 25 years, it’s obviously served me very well — and in a few areas that I think are really important, which is making it a place that the next generation of students coming in and talent coming in really start to see and thrive in this profession,” she said. “A lot of people talk about STEM and we could talk about that. I think accounting is actually cooler.”
