OceanFirst adds former Goldman exec to board

Steven Scopellite was appointed to the boards of OceanFirst Bank NA and its holding company, OceanFirst Financial Corp., effective immediately, the organization announced Thursday.

Scopelite spent 30 years at Goldman Sachs where he served as global chief information officer before his retirement in 2013. He currently serves as a director for both Soltage LLC and Ionic Security and is co-founder and advisor to Aspec Scire, a drone-data analytics company. He is also a member of the dean’s executive advisory council for the College of Computer and Informatics at Drexel University and chairman to the Riverview Medical Center Foundation board of trustees.

Toms River-based OceanFirst Bank is an $8.1 billion regional bank operating in New Jersey, and the metro areas of Philadelphia and New York City.
