New Jerseyans who are passionate about pickleball will soon have another place to play in South Jersey.
PickleRage is expanding into the Garden State. The indoor pickleball club franchise will open a new location in Moorestown by the end of the fourth quarter, it announced July 23.
The 32,950-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility is located at 1199 Nixon Drive in the East Gate Square Shopping Center at the intersections of Route 73, Route 38 and Interstate 295.
“We aim to create a community-centric environment where pickleball enthusiasts can enjoy the game,” Chris Daiss, vice president of real estate and construction at PickleRage, said in a statement. “We’re looking forward to opening the club, providing the perfect setting for players to engage, compete, and connect with fellow enthusiasts.”
PickleRage added that its CushionX courts are the same used by professionals in the U.S. Open.
Founded in 2023, the franchise has its corporate office in Red Bank. More than 30 court facilities are in operation or coming soon to states including Michigan, Maryland, Florida and Alabama, according to its website.
Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in the U.S. for the third straight year, according to the Sports & Fitness Industry Association.
Several new court facilities have launched or announced future openings. Pickleball Kingdom will roll out 20 locations starting in Hamilton. Additionally, the largest pickleball facility in the Northeast is set for Central Jersey, while a state-of-the-art club with a juice bar made its debut in South Jersey in October 2023.
