Atlantic City’s thousands of casino workers and their families will be able to get a COVID-19 vaccine across the city’s gambling establishments over the next few weeks as the state transitions into the summer and its post-COVID reopening.
Pop-up sites will be available at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City and Resorts Hotel Casino beginning June 5, according to a joint May 25 announcement from the AtlantiCare health care network and the Casino Association of New Jersey, a trade group for the state’s gambling industry.
As of this past weekend, vaccines were available at Bally’s Caesars, Ocean Casino Resort and Tropicana, according to the Monday announcement. Anyone over the age of 12 can get the vaccine, and no appointments are necessary.
AtlantiCare currently operates the “vaccine mega-center” at the Atlantic City Convention Center, one of six across the state.
State officials are aiming to fully vaccinate 4.7 million adults by June 30 who live, work or study in New Jersey. As of May 24, the state fully inoculated roughly 4 million adults – a key goal to reach herd immunity and permanently keeping restrictions lifted on businesses and public gatherings.

The addition of the Pfizer vaccine for children between the ages of 12 and 15, and promising research data for the Moderna vaccine’s use in this age group, could mean hundreds of thousands more state residents could get the vaccine in the coming weeks and months.
“These pop-up vaccination clinics provide our employees and their families another opportunity to get vaccinated on site at our casino properties,” reads a statement from Terry Glebocki, president of the CANJ and chief executive officer of Ocean Casino Resort.
