QuickChek ranked among nation’s favorite gas stations

Like many road-trippers, you probably have a favorite gas station. And if yours is QuickChek, you’re not alone. The Whitehouse Station-based company has once again been named one of the Best Gas Station Brands in the U.S. by the USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice travel awards.

Coming in at No. 6, QuickChek is also the highest-ranking gas station in New Jersey on the list, according to consumers. Other brands that appeared with locations in the Garden State include Love’s, coming in at No. 7, and TravelCenters of America, the No. 10 favorite.

Readers’ Choice Awards cover areas such as food, lodging, destinations, travel gear, things to do, seasonal family fun and more. Nominations are made by a panel of local travel experts in each category.

The gas station rankings measured a consumer’s overall gas station shopping experience, not just fuel service, according to QuickChek, which made the announcement July 1.

QuickChek introduced its first store with fuel in 2000—now it has 95 locations with pumps and 161 stores total across New Jersey, New York’s Hudson Valley and Long Island. The company said it is best known for its fresh brewed coffee and made-to-order sub sandwiches.

The chain offered Free Coffee Fridays in the spring “to help fight inflation,” according to the announcement.

A wholly owned subsidiary of Murphy USA, QuickChek also made the USA Today list in 2020.
