Shinjuku Station Revolving Sushi Bar is putting its spin on New Jersey.
After making its local debut last year in South Plainfield, the all-you-can-eat chain plans to open the following sites soon:
Named after a busy rail station in Tokyo, Japan, Shinjuku Station Revolving Sushi Bar offers a tech-driven dining experience that includes revolving conveyer belts, tableside robot service and tablet ordering systems.
Its menu includes sushi, hibachi and teriyaki options as well as appetizers, desserts and drinks.
A decades-old Japanese dining concept, conveyor belt sushi has gained momentum in the U.S. over the past few years. Several chains have opened across New Jersey, including Kura Revolving Sushi Bar and Supra Revolving Sushi.
Besides South Plainfield, Shinjuku Station has restaurants open in Harrisburg, Pa., and High Point, N.C. An additional 17 locations are in development across the U.S.
According to Elmwood Park-based RIPCO Real Estate, Shinjuku Station is expected to open its 5,000-square-foot space later this year at the popular Route 3 lifestyle center.
RIPCO Real Estate Executive Vice President Curtis Nassau remarked, “We’re excited to bring a dynamic and experiential dining concept like Shinjuku Station to The Promenade Shops at Clifton. This lease further enhances the center’s already strong merchandising mix and reinforces its position as a premier retail and dining destination in Northern New Jersey.”
RIPCO Managing Director Patrick Brake added, “The Promenade Shops continues to attract innovative and high-performing tenants seeking strong visibility and traffic. Shinjuku Station’s unique offering will complement the existing lineup and further elevate the overall consumer experience at the property.”
