MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper opened a state-of-the-art radiation oncology suite at the Cooper University Health Care Moorestown campus.
This marks the cancer center’s fifth treatment location of its kind in South Jersey, Cooper Health announced March 10.
The new suite features:
In addition to the new radiation oncology suite, MD Anderson at Cooper’s Moorestown campus offerings include medical, gynecologic and surgical oncology; same-day surgery; interventional radiology; and a modern infusion suite with 28 private bays, as well as supportive services.
“By integrating innovations in radiation therapy with our multidisciplinary team’s expertise, we are providing patients with highly personalized care in a convenient location, allowing them to focus on healing while staying close to their support systems,” Dr. Generosa Grana, director of MD Anderson at Cooper, said in a statement.
The Camden-based health care provider opened the first phase of its $150 million outpatient campus at Moorestown Mall in November 2023. The second phase opened in June 2024, a Cooper representative told NJBIZ.
The 166,000-square-foot, three-story health facility offers more than 25 medical specialties and other services. It is located on the site of a former Sears store that closed in 2020.
The facility is accessible from a main entrance facing Route 38 and an interior entrance from inside the mall.
The opening of the radiation oncology suite follows the groundbreaking of Cooper Health’s $3 billion expansion of its Camden campus. Project Imagine will include three new patient towers; enhanced surgical and emergency services; a state-of-the-art emergency department and a bridge connecting to MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper.
