Kean University‘s Kean Educational Affiliation Network just passed the big 5-0 – partners, that is.
KEANetwork, which offers business, government and nonprofit affiliates a reduced-cost education for their employees and active members, has expanded to more than 50 partners with its latest addition: the New York Red Bulls.
“KEANetwork makes a Kean University education accessible to more people who want to complete their college degrees or further their careers with graduate degrees,” Kean University President Lamont Repollet said in a statement, adding that the program is a “powerful way” to have a positive impact on the state.
As part of the program, KEANetwork partners receive:
“It’s a win for employers because our program helps them attract and retain employees in a competitive job market. It gives employees the chance to complete their degree, or earn their MBA or another advanced degree, at a discount,” said Jay O’Callaghan, Kean’s vice president for transformational learning. “And it’s a bonus to Kean because it expands both the number and the diversity of students we attract.”
The addition of the Red Bulls to KEANetwork builds on a multiyear partnership with the Harrison-based Major League Soccer club announced in March 22, which provides students with experiential learning and career opportunities.
Jordan Schwartz, manager of marketing partnerships for the Red Bulls, said the KEANetwork program is being rolled out to the team’s 170 employees.
“We think employees will be interested in this opportunity,” Schwartz said. “This is a great benefit for those interested in pursuing further education, especially at a well-respected institution right in our backyard.”
