Health care technology services provider CitiusTech Healthcare Technology Pvt. Ltd. announced April 3 that Rajan Kohli will succeed Bhaskar Sambasivan as chief executive officer. 

In the hiring announcement, CitiusTech Chairman William Winkenwerder thanked Sambasivan for his contributions to the Princeton-based company, adding that he’s stepping down for personal and family reasons. In November 2021, Sambasivan took over the role from co-founder Rizwan Koita. 

Winkenwerder described the new CEO as “a proven leader with a breadth of business experience and a strong track record of driving transformation and scaling successful businesses.” 

Kohli joins CitiusTech after nearly 30 years at Wipro, one of the world’s leading technology services and consulting companies, which just opened its U.S. headquarters in East Brunswick.  

During his time at Wipro, Kohil was responsible for $6 billion in annual revenues. He held numerous leadership positions there, including most recently as president of the iDEAS (Integrated Digital, Engineering and Application Services) business. He also founded and scaled the company’s Wipro Digital segment. 

“[Kohli] brings tremendous leadership capabilities and expertise in digital, engineering and application services with an innovation-led approach to drive the next phase of growth for us,” Winkenwerder added. 

Established in 2005, CitiusTech develops software and technology solutions for more than 140 leading health care and life sciences organizations. CitiusTech is owned by Bain Capital Private Equity and BPEA EQT, along with CitiusTech co-founders Koita and Jagdish Moorjani. 

In November 2022, CitiusTech acquired Wilco Source, a leading provider of Salesforce consulting and implementation services for health care and life sciences companies.
