Serotonin Centers opened its first New Jersey location in June 2023, with a handful of other locations slated to open their doors. Now, the anti-aging and longevity franchise is adding two more sites to its “coming soon” list.
The Florida-based company was founded in 2021 by fitness expert, Retro Fitness gym founder and New Jersey native Eric Casaburi. In June, it announced signing an agreement to develop two new centers in Camden County.
New Jersey brothers Suleman, Eshban and Naaman Emmanuel, along with business partner Aakash Patel, expect to open a Cherry Hill location by the end of the year — with the second debut anticipated for about a year and a half after that.
Suleman Emmanuel said that he and Naaman Emmanuel have a background in IT. Meanwhile, the two other franchisees are practicing physicians.
“Backgrounds aside, we all had a clear understanding not only for the business opportunity we found with Serotonin Centers, but for the value it could bring to the health and wellbeing of those around us,” Suleman Emmanuel added in a statement.
The Colts Neck location opened in 2023. At that time, four more Serotonin Centers were slated for Monmouth County over the next three years. Speaking then, a company representative told NJBIZ those locations will come to Wall, Shrewsbury, Marlboro and another yet to be determined. The company also has a location planned for Livingston, which is separate from the Monmouth County development deal, the representative said.
There were no updates to those locations as of this summer, another representative told NJBIZ July 8.
According to its latest announcement, Serotonin Centers has 100 franchises open or under development.
“We are thrilled to continue our vast expansion in my home state of New Jersey,” Casaburi said. “Serotonin Centers has been so well received by the great clients we have in NJ already. Adding additional centers to reach more people in need of our services is a fantastic opportunity for all.”
The company says each center employs licensed medical practitioners and personal health coaches who design personalized plans for members.
