A luxury camping experience is coming to Six Flags Great Adventure this summer.
The Savannah Sunset Resort and Spa is scheduled to open June 14 at the Jackson theme park. Set within the 350-acre Six Flags Wild Safari, the lodging experience offers “glamping” accommodations, VIP dining, spa services and scenic vistas.
Reservations are being accepted for what Six Flags bills as a “one-of-a-kind resort destination” created to be a “haven of serenity and adventure.”
Altogether, Savannah Sunset has 20 luxury suites that vary in size, sleeping two to six guests. With a minimum two-night stay, costs range from $1,199 for a couple suite to $1,999 for a family suite.
Each luxury suite has a private bathroom and access to outdoor entertainment, fire pits, restaurant & bar, spa services and event spaces that are ideal for small gatherings, from weddings to corporate retreats.
Along with exclusive panoramic views of the park, guests will enjoy a morning giraffe feeding, daily breakfast and multi-park passes for access to all three on-site theme parks: Great Adventure, Hurricane Harbor and Wild Safari.
The safari is home to more than 1,200 animals from six continents.
For an additional cost, various package options include behind-the-scenes adventures and VIP experiences. For example, close-up animal encounters or exploring the local watering holes of Hurricane Harbor.
“We are excited to welcome guests this spring to the Savannah Sunset Resort and Spa, where opulence meets the open savannah in the heart of New Jersey,” remarked Park President Brian Bacica in a statement.
“Our team is planning every detail to create a luxury experience welcoming guests to enjoy the beauty and uniqueness of our resort. Whether you seek relaxation, a family adventure, or a romantic getaway, Savannah Sunset Resort and Spa promises to exceed your expectations,” he said.
Savannah Sunset Resort and Spa is one of several enhancements for the upcoming season to celebrate the theme park’s 50th anniversary. The upgrades also represent the largest investment to Great Adventure in nearly two decades, according to Six Flags.
The park also expects to debut its 15th rollercoaster this summer. The Flash: Vertical Velocity is first-of-its-kind family rollercoaster, presented in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment and DC.
At Wild Safari, the park will add a refreshed drive-thru experience. The new off-road adventure gives guests a more personalized experience. Meanwhile over at Hurricane Harbor, a new family-centric interactive splash play area, Splash Island, will open, according to Six Flags.
Six Flags Great Adventure is scheduled to open weekends only March 16, moving to a daily schedule May 23.
Single-day passes, each valid for one person only, cost $50. Membership passes start at $13 per month after an initial payment of $20.
The theme park is also hiring for a range of positions, such as lifeguards, ride operators, food service, retail and admissions. Click here for more information.
