Smiths Aerospace Wins 10M Contract

Contract supports the U.S. Navy through Maritime Helicopter Support Co.Smiths Aerospace, a subsidiary of aerospace systems and equipment company Smiths Group in London, was awarded a contract to provide performance-based logistics (PBL) for military helicopters. The contract, potentially worth $10 million, supports the U.S. Navy through Maritime Helicopter Support Co., a joint venture between Sikorsky and Lockheed Martin. The work, to be completed at Smiths AerospaceÂs Whippany location, will be performed on the rotor systems for the H-60 series MH-60R, MH-60S SH-60B, SH-60F and HH-60H model aircrafts. The project is expected to be completed by 2008.
