A pair of New Jersey family-owned businesses joined forces to create a commercial full-service interior and exterior cleaning and maintenance business.

Jidan Cleaning, a full-service commercial cleaning business headquartered in Medford, announced Oct. 6 it acquired Pieco Services Property Maintenance, a landscaping and property management business based in Williamstown.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded more than 20 years ago by Bobby Scannapieco, Pieco serves commercial buildings, retail centers, industrial complexes, corporate facilities, multi-unit housing developments and residential estates. Its exterior services include landscaping, facility maintenance, parking lot maintenance and snow removal.

“Acquiring Pieco is a natural next step in taking our business to the next level and providing customers with a convenient, one-stop solution to keeping their properties clean – inside and out,” Jidan President and CEO Patricia Claybrook said in a statement.

Claybrook, who founded Jidan in 2005, said her customers were looking for the types of services that Pieco provides. She said Scannapieco’s business was the “perfect match” for hers.

“Rather than referring this work out, we can now provide customers with all of these services with a brand name they know and trust,” Claybrook added.

Scannapieco will remain on staff through the transition and will work closely with Jidan Chief Operating Officer Maurice Claybrook, who will assume operational day-to-day management of Pieco. Both companies’ workforces will remain in place, and Pieco will retain its name.

“After over two decades of building my business and providing exceptional work to my customers, it’s time to hand over the reins. I’m excited for this opportunity and feel comfortable knowing that Pieco will continue to deliver the same quality of product and service under Jidan’s management,” Scannapieco said.

Jidan Cleaning provides customers throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware with services such as office cleaning, post-construction cleaning, carpet and window cleaning and stripping and waxing. It also has offices in Philadelphia and Baltimore.

Patricia Claybrook is a past Leading Women Entrepreneurs honoree. Jidan also has won several industry awards, and the company is a verified member of BSCAI and ISSA and is certified as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) by the Minority Supplier Development Council of PA-NJ-DE, Small Business Enterprise (SBE) and Minority /Women’s Business Enterprise M/WBE by the State of New Jersey.
